JVC's marine-rated KD-X38MBS digital media receiver is outdoor-ready, thanks to a conformal-coated circuit board that resists moisture damage. And its white-background display cuts through glare and makes this receiver ideal for open-top vehicles. With built-in Bluetooth®, an option for satellite radio, and plenty of connections for your digital devices, you'll have lots of music options on the road, trail, or water.

Bluetooth for wireless convenience

Bluetooth is the norm for wireless phone functionality these days. The KD-X38MBS lets you pair two Bluetooth-equipped phones and quickly switch between them for hands-free calling. You can wirelessly stream and control the playback functions of just about any Internet radio service, including Spotify, TIDAL, and Qobuz. You can also stream stored music, audiobooks, and podcasts from the phone that's active. JVC also added a little fun to audio streaming with their Streaming DJ feature — pair five phones so everybody can pick their tunes for the ultimate road trip playlist (don't forget to share). Bluetooth also lets you control this stereo directly from your iPhone® or Android™ phone by downloading Kenwood's free Remote app.

Media on the go

You can play and charge your iPhone or check out a USB drive filled with digital music through the front USB port. Android users, you can control and play music using Bluetooth. JVC rounds out the connectivity with a front aux input for a portable music player. You can also expand your entertainment options by connecting a SiriusXM satellite radio tuner (sold separately) and listen for days without losing your favorite channels.

The KD-X38MBS plays MP3, WMA, AAC, WAV, and even high-res FLAC files, and you can make the most of them with a wide array of sound-shaping tools, including digital time alignment to ensure you're center stage, Sound Lift to raise your music from depths of your doors, and a 13-band graphic equalizer to put the emphasis where you want it in your music. If you're planning to expand your audio system in the future, the KD-X38MBS includes three sets of ultra-clean 4-volt preamp outputs for adding amplifiers to power high-quality speakers and subwoofers.

This receiver includes 2-zone variable color illumination, so you'll get to dial in your look with two different colors on your JVC face. You can even sync the lights to match your music.
