- Unique Design: Drawing inspiration from the Mk6 GTI, the GTi-R 2.0 shroud boasts a distinct "eyelid" design, offering an OEM+ aesthetic to your retrofit.
- Top-tier Quality: Unlike many subpar alternatives available in the market, Morimoto shrouds are crafted from premium plastic and feature a highly durable metalized chrome finish. Lesser quality shrouds often warp under the heat of a mere 35W HID bulb, with their chrome finish chipping away easily.
- Quality Control: At The Retrofit Source, we prioritize quality. Shrouds with minor or factory defects are labeled as "B stock" units and are available at discounted prices, ideal for budget retrofits or paint jobs. For those seeking perfection and intending to retain the chrome finish, we recommend our "A Stock" Shrouds.
- Efficient Mounting: While Centric Rings aren't part of the default package, they're highly advised to facilitate easier installation on a range of projectors. These rings act as reducers, adjusting the shroud's inner diameter for a snug "press fit" on the projector's lens holder. To ensure the shrouds remain securely in place, we suggest using JB Quik Weld.
- Simple Trimming: Trimming shrouds is a standard procedure in retrofitting. Whether it's to accommodate a projector component or to fit a headlight housing's geometry, these modifications are routine. Given that these shrouds are made of plastic, adjustments are straightforward. For optimal results, we recommend using a Dremel hand tool equipped with EZ Lock cutting wheels.
